It's a little culinary nugget that is about to open its doors in the centre of the capital: "La Mezzanine du Boulevard", the Steffen group's newborn. The official opening of the restaurant is scheduled for this Thursday 6 January, but our journalist had the chance to try it out for the first time.

A bucolic setting, exquisite dishes and impeccable service: all the elements are there for the restaurant "La Mezzanine du Boulevard" to become a place of conviviality and gastronomy that cannot be ignored in the capital.

The perfectionism and attention to detail of the Steffen family is well proven. And with this new project they are showing us, once again, that when passion and expertise are combined, all the elements are there for the sauce to take hold. "This restaurant is in a way my sister Lisa's baby, her baptism in the business. It was our experience with the take-away and the restaurant at the station that made us want to invest in a similar project in town. The opportunity arose with this strategic location in the Royal-Hamilius business centre", says Tom Steffen.

The new take-away Atelier Steffen and the new restaurant La Mezzanine du Boulevard are spread over three floors. The take-away is on the ground floor. The restaurant is on the first floor. There is also a bar, which will become a favorite meeting place for after works regulars. The shop has a wide range of fresh products, including pastries, sandwiches, salads, soups and desserts. In the restaurant, the menu will include a variety of dishes and tapas. The breakfasts will undoubtedly become a must for those who like to start their day on the right foot. Brunch will be the perfect way to spend lunch with friends, family or colleagues. And that's without counting on the cocktails that will delight the most nocturnal among us.

Lisa Steffen likes to conclude on an optimistic note: "Today and tomorrow, the ambition of this new take-away and restaurant is to provide a culinary experience that meets the expectations of our future customers, in a pleasant, comfortable place, with Steffen service.

The establishment will be open from Monday to Saturday, from morning to evening and on Sundays when organised by the City or the Hamilius Centre. The current opening hours are provisional and are set from 6 am to 7.30 pm.
